Guided exercises
Practice can score short guided exercises while you record. Targets are built from recent saved analyses when history is available, so the pitch and resonance goals start from your own measured range rather than from a fixed gender threshold. The adaptive profile uses the most recent 100 completed analyses.
Exercise types
- Constant Pitch holds near your recent median F0.
- Pitch Glide moves across your recent comfortable low-to-high span.
- Pitch Stair steps through low, middle, high, and back again.
- Chant keeps a narrow pitch target around your recent anchor.
- Intonation Arc follows a phrase-like rise and return.
- Resonance Target tracks live formant dispersion near your recent resonance baseline.
Exercise contours loop after their listed duration while the microphone keeps streaming, so a longer practice run repeats the same target path.
Reading the score
Practice shows a running "on contour" score while the microphone is active. After stopping, the take recap summarizes adherence across scored frames. Pitch exercises ignore unvoiced frames; resonance exercises use the experimental live resonance preview and should be treated as practice feedback, not a final analysis.
Exercise scores do not change saved analysis metrics or evidence tiers. They are local realtime coaching aids built on the same live-preview limitations described on the Live microphone preview page.
